youare.agency was founded by Rita Pater and Miguel Mota Carmo — a strategist, coach, and community experience designer, and a graphic designer specialising in brand identity and hospitality design.
Rita brings over six years of coaching practice, a background in art therapy, and experience designing and facilitating community gatherings and creative experiences for international audiences. She has lived between countries and cultures, and understands from the inside what makes people feel they belong somewhere.
Miguel brings years of design practice across brand identity, print, packaging, and wayfinding signage — with a portfolio spanning wine producers, restaurants, and hospitality brands across Portugal, Spain, Italy and the United States.
Together we created youare.agency because we believe the most memorable spaces are the ones that know who they are — visually, experientially, and in the way they make people feel.
youare.agency is also home to Carmo Alento, Rita’s creative community project, and Rootz Design Studio, Miguel’s design practice.
We work with independent hospitality spaces that want to be remembered — not just visited. Our work sits at the intersection of visual identity, spatial experience, and community design. We don’t offer generic solutions. We embed, we listen, and we build something specific to you.
